Gate Guesting – An EM Exclusive Q & A with Stargate: SG-1 guest star Alan C. Peterson

There is no doubt that Stargate: SG-1 has been a highly successful TV series, even going so far as to be inducted into the Guinness Book of World Records as 'the longest consecutively running scifi series in TV history'.

Along the way to that success and honor, Stargate: SG-1 has had some very talented guest stars adding their presence to the mix. In the season 3 episode 'Demons' one of those talented actors was Alan C. Peterson who took on the role of 'the Canon', a 'religions leader' of a medieval community who was secretly working for Goa'uld to help them harvest humans as hosts.

Stargate:SG-1's journey to the honor of 'the longest consecutively running scifi series' began when the pilot episode, Children of the Gods' first aired on Showtime in July of 1997. The series, which is loosely based on the 1994 movie STARGATE, starred Richard Dean Anderson as Jack O'Neill (played by Kurt Russell in the movie) and Michael Shanks as Daniel Jackson (played by James Spader in the movie).
