Rock School

The true story about an after school program in Philadelphia that teaches kids about rock and roll. There are a few kids that were pretty bad, but for the most part, the kids were really good, including a Quaker girl named Madi and an incredibly talented and dedicated 12-year-old guitarist named CJ.

Of course, it’s being compared to “School of Rock” (I think I read that both movies were filmed around the same time), but in “Rock School” you get the point of view of the teacher and the students. It’s definitely not a PG-13 film –the teacher spends a lot of time cursing at the kids, and the film actually has some unexpectedly dark moments. But all in all, it’s definitely an enjoyable movie to watch.
